2012 Honda Insight hybrid Updated


There is something new awaiting every Honda fanatic. As a direct competition to Toyota, Honda has done everything they could to make their 2012 Honda Insight up to par in the hybrid market. In an effort to help save the environment, the 2012 hybrid has cut back its CO2 emission levels to just below 100g/km.

This move results in a drop for CO2 emissions from 101g/km to 96g/km, thereby permitting the vehicle to be eligible for road tax exemption on UK roads.

Honda will be revealing the new 2012 Honda Insight hybrid facelift and all-new 2012 Honda Civic 5-door hatchback at the upcoming 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. The new facelift model of 2012 Honda Insight features a new front grille and a redesigned front bumper. To improve both stability and ride comfort on the Insight, Honda’s engineers have also revised the suspension settings under the facelift model.

For the newly updated model Honda has fine-tuned the aerodynamics of the car, reduced engine friction, made improvements to the Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT) and incorporated a better air conditioning system.Currently the Insight is rated at 40/43-mpg.Lastly, Honda claims the interior has been enhanced for “a superior quality.”
