Honda CR-Z Racer hybrid At Le Mans


Honda Performance Development (HPD) has come up with a racing version of the Honda CR-Z hybrid which they will show at this year’s Le Mans 24 Hours.
In Europe, the CR-Z Racer is used as a pace car as part of Speed EuroSeries.

Honda announced the turbocharged race concept will strut its stuff in an exhibition event before the start of the 2011 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The CR-Z Racer has already completed its first endurance race, the Thunderhill 25 Hours, where it finished second in class.
The Japanese company will campaign a CR-Z hybrid racecar at the second annual Le Mans Vers Le Futur (literally translates to ‘Le Mans to the Future’), which is a support event for the 79th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This is the latest news from Honda's motorsport.
It seems like green cars hitting the race track is a trend this year, and now a 2011 Honda CR-Z Racer will make the rounds at this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race.
