Nissan Able to Sell 32 Nissan Leaf per Day
Nissan North America (North America Incorporated) able to sell 12,000 units Leaf (of a total of 20,000 units allocated to the American market) in the region this year. Meaning, they should be able to remove an average of 32 units a day.
Nissan, as reported by bloomberg (02.06.2011) said that they previously had vague Leaf predicts sales in the U.S.. However, this is now beginning to look like what an electric car enthusiasts in the U.S..
Apparently, it is difficult for Nissan to meet sales target 32 units per day. The reason, one of the inhibiting factor is the mechanism of ordering a "complicated". Consumers must be booked via the Internet. Then, a new vehicle can be sent when the consumer buys the device recharging (home charging system).
Al Castignetti, Vice President of Sales Nissan said the company began marketing Leaf six months ago and only seven states in particular.
A spokesman for the company, Katherine Zachary said, only 46 percent of the total booking is recorded via the Internet can be a transaction. "The rest is canceled for various reasons, one of which came from out of town reservations," explains Zahcary.
