Lamborghini: No Hybrid Technology for Aventador?
Well point the Italian sports car builder on reducing CO2 emissions.
Lamborghini guru Stephan Winkelmann in Paris proclaimed that in the foreseeable future hybrid Lambo is coming. The systems would provisionally be too heavy and not even fit into the current model range.
That does not mean that the Lamborghini harmful emissions are supercars is irrelevant. Before 2015 the average CO2 emissions of the Lambo range ie by 35% reduced.
Aventador
The Aventador for model year 2013 is already fitted with a start / stop system and gets cylinder deactivation. Together, these two systems for CO2 reduction of 7%.
Furthermore, future Lamborghini's increasing use of carbon fiber components, the weight drastically reduce. We remember with a broad grin the Sesto Elemento concept.
Arch-rival Ferrari is working or to a hybrid supercar. The successor to the Enzo reportedly gets a beastly hybrid powertrain.
