2011 Rolls-Royce Phantom EE electric

At the 2011 Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, Rolls-Royce showed off its 102EX electric Phantom Concept aka Rolls-Royce Phantom EE. According to Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Mueller-Oetvoes, the brand’s customers have mixed feelings about an electric Phantom. The Rolls-Royce Phantom EE is powered by a lithium ion battery pack and two electric motors mounted on the rear sub-frame. On a full-charge, the Rolls-Royce Phantom EE can travel up to 124 miles.

Rolls-Royce produces cars that represent the pinnacle in luxurious motoring for the world's most discerning customers. An investigation into alternative drive-train options is an important step in that process.

Throughout 2011 Phantom EE will serve as a working test bed, giving owners, VIPs, the media and enthusiasts the opportunity to experience an established alternative drive-train technology and to feed back their experiences, thoughts and concerns directly.
