Monster Tajima passes the electrical
The ever-present master of Pikes Peak (7 wins and a record of the rise) Nobuhiro "Monster" Tajima said yesterday in Tokyo from substantive changes for 2012: exit the Suzuki SX4 "Hillclimb Special", the future of fantasy pilot / businessman is electric.
It's been a year that Tajima is interested in electric vehicles using a satellite company to its core business Monster Sport, and among others he developed a small recreational car, the EV Mini Sport, trying to conjuger propulsion power and driving pleasure of a sports car. Having turned 60 last year, he decided that the next decade would be devoted to electric. Tajima will therefore combine his main passion, Pikes Peak, and its new environmental creed by aligning the start of the famous hill climb behind the wheel of a prototype in the category of electric vehicles that are for two years now.
Little information is yet available on the car of which only a sketch was shown yesterday at the presentation but knowing the character can be expected that it does not make up the numbers. For the record, the electrical category of Pikes Peak in 2011 was won by another Japanese car, the prototype Yokohama Tires aligned with a time equal to the category Open Wheel heat.
