2012 Toyota Prius V
The Toyota Prius already has a great advantage to its competitors, not only by virtue of being the most recognized brand of hybrids on the market, but because from their first U.S. release in 2001, Toyota has not stopped injecting their best technology to this product.

The result, a new member to the family of Prius, the "V". This versatile mini SUV (has 50% more cargo space than the Prius), is the next evolution of hybrids where Toyota extends the size without compromising fuel economy and driving performance.

While the new Prius V is 3 inches longer and three inches taller than the regular Prius, is 20% lighter (3274 pounds). As always, the aerodynamic design has an important role. The lamps are specially designed blades to cut the wind from the front and a standard spoiler helps to balance the downward force and provide greater stability.

Some markets in the world will have a version which can accommodate up to 7 people, but fortunately in the U.S. only have 5-passenger version. We will also have three models: Prius V Two, Three and Prius V top of the line, the Prius V Five.

Terra was able to handle them all and one of the points that struck us was the mix between sophistication and interior space. In any of the chairs that you feel you will be supremely comfortable.

Another innovation in this vehicle is Panoramic Moon roof resin, which retracts the sun and provides a more open to the cabin, much lighter and excellent heat insulation. This improvement in the resistance of temperature results in a lower working engine and hence a better fuel consumption.

Here you can enjoy applications such as Bing, Open Table, Movie Tickets and even listen to your favorite stations from the popular Pandora Radio.

The value of this new car was not disclosed at the time of this test but it is estimated that the new Prius V will be released in fall 2011 at a price range that Ocilla between 27 and 33 thousand dollars.

The best model of the Toyota Prius V is equipped with a navigation screen that can split seven inch pair simulates aver in navigation and integration with an iPod. The audio system is computer with the new JBL Green Edge, which produces the same power and sound quality with less power than traditional models.

Today competition is broader hybrid and continues to grow daily. Models like the Nissan Leaf, the Honda Insight or the Chevrolet Volt range of alternatives open to those looking for a car of this nature. But Toyota has worked hard to stay in the forefront. Thus in 2012 and is scheduled expansion of the family of Prius and the Prius Plug in C, the latter also had the fortune to handle it but we'll leave for a new chapter of this revolution of hybrids.
