Hybrid Cars KIA Trial Mobile USA

Seoul: Kia Motors Corp., South Korea's second largest automaker, said on Friday (26 / 8) that would create a hybrid car Optima Guinness World Record for the best car mileage by exploring the United States.

Guinness Challenge will begin with the departure of the Optima sedan from its production plant in West Point, Georgia, on Friday (26 / 8) local time and explore the entire state of 48 with the exception of Alaska and Hawaii to 10 September.

The car and the two riders are expected to journey along the 12,800 kilometers, and using the technical driving "hypermiling" to obtain the best distance. "The goal for the car to achieve better fuel economy of 22.4 kilometers per liter of fuel is achieved by a Volkswagen Jetta with 2.0 liter diesel engine in 2009," Kia said.

The target is higher than the average of 21 kilometers with a liter of fuel that has been tested by the factory car, but lower than the 28.6 kilometers achieved by eco-drivers championship contest held in South Korea in July.

Optima hybrid, called the K5 hybrid on the market of South Korea, the first time can be enjoyed by U.S. consumers in June and received a good assessment. The automaker said the challenge would be reported directly via his official Facebook page (www.facebook.com / Kiamotorsworldwide) and blogs (www.kia-buzz.com)
